Designed by well known Bauhaus architect Adolf Meyer, the lamp has a stepped brass body with acid etched glass bowl shade which is fully stamped 'Carl Zeiss Jena'. These type of lights were specifically made for use in large public buildings and retail environments all of which contained a mercury mirror glass inner reflector which directs most of the light source
